3. Terms and definitions

For the purposes of this International Standard, the terms and definitions provided in ISO 9000.

The following terms used in this edition of ISO 9001 to describe the supply chain have been changed to reflect the currently used in the vocabulary:

потребитель supplier -> organization -> customer

The term "supplier" used in ISO 9001:1994, replaced by the term "organization", which refers to the object to which to apply this International Standard. In addition, the term "subcontractor" shall be replaced by the term "supplier".

Wherever in the text of this International Standard is found the term "product", it can also mean "service".
